After graduating from college, I joined Independent Insurance Counselors, in 1982. I was fortunate to have been mentored by my father, James A. Lansford, who stressed professional conduct and education. Since most of my clients have limited knowledge of insurance, I enjoy the process of informing my clients so they can make an educated decision regarding their protection. It does not get any better than developing mutually beneficial business relationships based on trust. I am a life-long resident of Alvin, but where I grew up included my grandparents’ homestead in the West Columbia area, Texas A&M at Galveston, and the outdoors.
When I am not discussing insurance, I enjoy fishing, golf, and having fun with my family and friends. A perfect weekend would be fishing in the mornings, dancing with my wife in the evenings, and having a tender prime rib or ribeye. Throughout my life, I have been blessed to have been associated with some tremendous organizations. I am especially thankful for being a member of the Alvin Yellowjacket football program, the Texas A&M at Galveston Corps of Cadets, the Rotary Club of Alvin, the Interact Club of Alvin High School, the Alvin ISD Board of Trustees, and the staff of Independent Insurance Counselors. All of these organizations have given me opportunities to serve with some amazing people, and awesome memories.
